Teams

There are a number of teams, directorates, and committees in the diocese.

Anglican Theological Institute of Bermuda (ATIB)

Providing Theological Education, Discipleship programmes, and Training for Ministry to Bermuda.

Clericus

Providing mutual encouragement and support for stipendiary and non-stipendiary clergy and spouses.

Diocesan Advisory Committee (DAC)

Monitoring the use and development of the Anglican Church’s properties for the benefit of the Mission and Ministry of the Church and makes recommendations to the Bishop and/or Synod.

Diocesan Synod

The legal body authorised to manage the Anglican Church of Bermuda subject to the Constitution, Regulations and Canons of the Church, and the Declaration of Principles.

Media and Communications

Resourcing the church to participate in the ongoing mission of God in the world, to worship God, and to share ministry with each other.

Ministry and Vocation

Encouraging, discerning and fostering vocations, and encouraging all God’s people to discern and develop their gifts and calling.

Mission and Evangelism

Overseeing the work of Evangelism and Mission in the Diocese and to encouraging and equipping parishes and individuals in the work of Evangelism and Mission.

Racial Justice

Working towards a fully integrated and racially inclusive church in Bermuda committed to the elimination of racism, justice for all, education, awareness, and action on issues surrounding race.

Safeguarding

Embracing the protection from harm of children and young people, and of adults who are especially vulnerable.

Synod Finance Committee

To oversee the financial arrangements of the Synod and to ensure that they carried out with integrity and wisdom.

Training and Discipleship

Enabling the work of Theological Education, Formation and Christian Discipleship in the diocese.

Youth

To oversee and encourage holistic growth of outreach and ministry amongst youth and children and their families in the Anglican Church of Bermuda and beyond and to provide training and procedures for good working practice.
