Parish Study Courses

By Anthony Pettit

We have a number of Lent courses available for parishes to use as part of their Lenten Discipline. Each course is 5 or 6 sessions long, and comes with booklets and promotional materials.

Please contact the Director of Training and Discipleship for more information.

Available Courses:

  • “Human Identity”seeking a deeper and more rounded understanding of our purpose as creatures of God – which involves both glory and shame.
  • “Gospel! Confidence in Good News”helping us to broaden our appreciation of the Good News of Jesus Christ.
  • “Racial Reconciliation: A Commitment to Conversation” – Listening to the past and present struggles, and looking to the future of a more loving and united body, and to model such to the world as part of the good news we have to offer.
  • “Listening to God” – Exploring Christian Contemplative Prayer by learning to pray with relationship, rather than words.
  • “Before the Cross”Exploring some Hebrew words from the Old Testament to deepen our understanding of how the faith of Jesus and his disciples leads to the Cross.

In addition, we are able to provide a number of other courses suitable for use as part of a parish’s regular programme of Bible and Faith studies.  Our Faith Discovery team are happy to help you with these, and to run them across parishes if that is helpful. Please contact us for more detail.
